Keep Your Marketing Automation Hot This Summer
Email Marketing | Content, Social & Digital Marketing | social and digital marketing
We have all been through it, it’s that time of year again. The time of year when the temperature seems to be rising and your email click through rate seems to be dropping. Luckily, we’re here to give you three ways you can be sure to get in front of your members even if they seem to have put their email inbox on “Do Not Disturb” while soaking up that sun poolside.
Lucky for you! With your marketing automation, you have more options than hoping your members are checking their email while sipping their coffee one morning. Keep your audience in the loop this summer by using all your marketing channels! I’m not saying stop using email, because you still have your loyal email lovers who are checking it every morning while sipping their coffee! But also mix it up! Alongside your normal emails, try utilizing social media and blogs also! Here’s why:
Social Media
You have to think, the likelihood of your user checking their Facebook or Twitter on vacation has the chance of being high just based off the fact of how much they will already be utilizing it for things unrelated work. Suzie can’t wait to post her family’s pictures from their beach day they had on Facebook for all of her friends and family to see what they are up to! And while she’s checking back in and commenting back to everyone saying how cute Johnnie has gotten, she is also seeing the post you created and published, sharing the details of your exclusive, summer, members only, content that she should be on the lookout for coming soon. Getting the context of the email she had not read, in front of her anyway.
Blog
Put yourself in the shoes of your vacationing members right now. Or even yourself, as you read this under the fluorescent light of your office wishing you were somewhere on the beach. What goes hand in hand with being by some body of water on vacation? Let me help if you haven’t already guessed what I’m about to say: Reading. And lucky for us, we’re at an age in time where our tangible books have been replaced by electronic tablets and blogs are all the rage for short, summer reading literature, especially relaxing pool side. So take advantage of the times and what better time than the present to start working on your blogger hat. Happy posting!
Summer isn’t the time to accept the fact that it may be the slower months for your association. Summer is the time to start working out the marketing automation muscles that you had been to busy to spend time on the last few months. So start flexing those muscles! Who knows, maybe you’ll find something that your members love, and utilize it moving forward into the back half of the year.
