Today we bid good luck to Lisa Campo who leaves HighRoad for a newly created marketing communications position at the American Council on Teaching Foreign Languages. Lisa has served HighRoad for the past year on our MarTech team to help organizations such as CFMA, Boardsource and SnowSports Industry America build modern emails using HubSpot. Lisa has already been a contributor to our BAM! blog and tweeted from her HighRoad handle. We encourage you to stay a fan and follow Lisa on Twitter--she'll post her new handle and we'll see her in the ASAE community in the future. Good Luck, Lisa!

A big congraulations go out to our client partners at AGA for the launch of their hyper-personalized member newsletter that runs on our award-winning Intelligent Contextual Email (ICE) product (yeah, we had to name drop because the product's name is ICE). However, you know what's cooler than ice? The double bonus effect that AGA is seeing from being able to automatically match its website content to member profile preference information and deliver the information automatically through email.

Associations have been using marketing techniques to reach members and potential members for centuries (Aside from printing the Bible, Gutenberg likely had orders in to print the guild newsletters). In today's world, the old techniques like direct mail, magazine ads, and promotional email, are having less and less effect on a savvy audience who's learned to tune them out. That's where inbound marketing comes in, and why it's been so heartily embraced by organizations looking for the next big thing.

I can't believe I just caught myself saying that we should change digital to fit the print mindset. It's true, I'm guilty. I'm working into the wee hours because I want change and change doesn't usually fit into the typical 40 (or even 35 work hour week of some associations) hour week. Change is an investment, it's a discipline and it has a voice all its own--even to the change agent.
