Images Attract.jpeg
For years and years we've been told that a picture is worth a thousand words. One single image can evoke a streamline of emotions which turns into energized behavior. This energized behavior from a simple picture now plays a major role in influencing purchase behavior.

In order to first evoke this emotion you must understand where, when, and how to utilize an image. The common place to see an image for many associations is in their email. It's been the standard and easiest method for years in conveying a message to their readers. However, images are effective on multiple channels such as; landing pages, blogs, social media, and web pages.

It's typical that you might find in an email the usual text hyperlinks or graphical buttons as your image, but now we are seeing a slow but progressive shift. That shift is called a Banner Ad. A banner ad is an image used to capture the attention of the viewer and push them somewhere else. Banner Ads can be used on sliders, call to actions, landing pages, or emails. We use these ads in context of the user journey, in order to figure out their persona.

So as we see this shift we still have to consider certain factors when setting up an image in order to keep it effective and relevant.

Key Factors:

  • Do not over insert images into an email.
  • For websites use imagery to chop up content.
  • Utilize your Call to Action as a banner ad.
  • Don't put all of your apples in one basket, don't use email as the main the main hub to place all of your images.

Remember an image is a powerful way to capture the attention of your audience. View more insight on how to use images to attract customers on demand.
