Ethics
We’ve suffered
more business scandals in the past 5 years than in the previous 5
decades. Lapses of integrity affect all of us and there is no
industry that can afford to cheat, manipulate, mislead, or risk
tarnishing its reputation by engaging in deception. Sadly, many
adults are so unacquainted with honest decision making that they
believe they are acting in the best interest of their companies
when, in fact, they are committing serious ethics infractions.
Learn to develop prevention mechanisms, generate a commitment to
ethics beyond compliance, overcome employee cynicism and learn the
tools of Ethical Decision Making. Here is a chance to take your
own ethical pulse through a series of exercises and discussions
intended to inspire you to lead your own organization to higher
ground. Most class materials are from The Josephson Institute of
Ethics, Los Angeles, CA.

Dining and Entertaining
This is, by far, the most popular of the courses offered in our
business protocol curriculum. Certainly learning to dine correctly
lends polish to your professional image, but learning correct
table comportment is a skill that is beneficial in all social
settings, not business exclusively. Business entertaining is a
multi billion-dollar industry because business leaders know that,
in most cases, this effort turns them a large profit. In most
cases, people tend to let their guard down at the table and reveal
their most authentic selves, which is why many savvy business
people reserve judgment on a potential client or employee until
after they have shared a meal together. This course takes you,
literally from soup to nuts. Never drink someone else's beverage,
eat your neighbor's bread, hold your silverware incorrectly or
fumble over a particular food or situation. Table etiquette, once
learned, is a skill that lasts a lifetime and enhances your image
and confidence. (This course runs a full two to three hours
depending on menu selection).
